About Theatre Bug Mackay
In 2026, Theatre Bug will be entering a new era! We are moving to our own premises in the Mackay City and will be accepting new students from Mackay. Details about the new venue will be coming in the near future.

In 2024, Theatre Bug Mackay began as an extra curricular program for St Francis Xavier students and classes were held at the school. We have performed successfully at 2 Mackay Eisteddfod's in the drama and music theatre groups as well as solo and duos. After two years, we are growing and catering for all. ​

​All classes will still be taught by Leisa Persson.

The studio will have a sprung dance floor with multi use tarkett on top suitable for tap, jazz, ballet and contemporary dance. It will be available for hire for rehearsals, yoga and pilates classes and the like.
